Grace Van Susteren
Graduate Student
Grace is originally from Minnesota, where she completed her Bachelor’s in Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology at the University of Minnesota. After graduating, she relocated to Bonn, Germany where she completed her Masters degree in Organismic Biology. Her thesis was centered on the neural coding of bulk water flow stimuli in the goldfish midbrain.
Grace is broadly interested in sensory integration and animal behavior. In the Riffell Lab, she uses behavioral and neurophysiological techniques to study the learning and integration of visual and olfactory cues by mosquitoes.
